Marshalls headline revenue at £103m

Marshalls, based in Huddersfield, has posted headline revenue of £103 million for the four months ending April 30, despite this year's wintry conditions.
The Yorkshire landscape products and building materials group said the figure, which was similar to that of a year ago, was in line with its expectations.
Marshalls said like-for-like sales were the same as last year. In the public sector and commercial and domestic markets, sales were equal to that of the previous year.
There has been an improvement in the domestic installers' order books, which was at 8.4 weeks at the end of April, compared with 7.1 weeks a year ago.
The firm stated that it was looking forward to securing new contracts, with demand increasing due to London Olympics.
Marshalls said: "During the last two years Marshalls has built additional financial and operating flexibility into the business and is well placed to respond to changing market conditions and to benefit from any improvement in market demand.
"Marshalls continues to invest selectively in new products to build on its strong brand and market leading position.
"Marshalls remains cautious about the short term outlook, but is encouraged by the positive impact of increasing Olympic demand and the recent commencement of previously delayed commercial contracts."
