Here you will find information about the work of our Research Unit.
The Research Unit is made up of seven professional social research posts, a part-time academic advisor, and an administration team.
We are responsible for commissioning and coordinating research within the Department for Constitutional Affairs, and we also provide a point of contact for external researchers who are interested in the operation and administration of the courts.
We run the department's regular research programme, as well as any special projects initiated by the department and its ministers. We publish the results of these projects, and you can order research papers directly from us, and view the most recent direct in the research reports. We will also provide, on request, copies of any of these publications in braille or audio formats.
