Welcome to the July 2010 issue
Inside view from Her Majesty's Chief Inspector
I know full well that the current economic climate is having an impact in many different ways, on both providers and the children and young people, and their families and carers, they serve. However, inspectors are finding that it is the needs and interests of children and young people that are still very much to the fore in the work that providers do and are the key influence on spending plans.
Much of Ofsted’s work is directed at children and young people who are most vulnerable in society; for example, the work that we do in gathering the views of children and young people in care, or looking at the learning of young people in the youth justice system. You can read articles about this work in this edition.
