Transport

The Government Office Network is currently in discussion with the Department for Transport about transitional arrangements for the work carried out at regional level. These discussions will continue through the Spending Review period.

National transport casework

We carry out a range of transport casework for the Secretary of State for Transport. The applications and orders cover a wide range of transport functions and fall under a range of acts. We also handle appeals and directions to do with (mainly) non-vehicular rights of way for the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

To find out more about this policy area in your region, please contact your local Government Office.
