This facility is available to all public sector organisations. It enables those who wish to dispose of new and used furniture, and those who require it, to advertise on an electronic noticeboard. Contacts for transport and storage to assist in the logistical element of the process are also available. The intention is to facilitate trade between parties which will obviate the need for the procurement of new furniture from the market.
For ease, there is no need to route enquiries through OGC or OGCb.s as parties can deal directly via the contacts provided on the notices.
We hope that this Noticeboard will enable organisations seeking furniture to significantly reduce their furniture spend and also allow those with surplus furniture to dispose of it in a cost effective way.
Customers wishing to use the Noticeboard system must first log in to the website. If you do not have a login for the OGCb.s website please register via the online registration form. Registrations are processed by the Customer Service Desk, and login details should be issued within 1 working day.
To place a notice on the board click on the below link, log in, hover your mouse over 'Noticeboard' (found on the left-hand navigation) and select 'Create New Furniture Notice'.

The furniture should be in serviceable condition and advertisers should provide as much detail as possible e.g. the type of furniture (desking, task seating, soft seating, tables, benches, cupboards etc), manufacturer, system, sizes, material, quantity, colour, timing and location. Full contact details should be provided.
Parties seeking furniture should similarly detail their requirements.
Detailed arrangements in respect of costs and logistics should be agreed between the parties.
Green Works and Waste to Wonder are organisations both well known to ogcb.s and either can provide support with moving and storing the furniture should you require those services.
Should you require any assistance please contact the OGC Service Desk.
