In a leaflet aimed at public service managers, Cabinet Office Minister, David Miliband argues that we can face these challenges with confidence, born of significant progress in recent years, but that we can only meet those challenges with new relationships between central government, local government and the frontline.
The five year strategies published by departments describe detailed plans for specific services, explaining the Government’s strategy for the next phase of reform based on a more personal approach to services, one that is grounded on the principles of universal provision with personalised delivery; high standards flexibly delivered; and equity and choice.
