Describe your idea. How does it work and who does it help?
It is important to government to promote a sense of community and in an information rich world this needs accessible and RELEVANT community information. Much of the information about a particular area is readily available but not all in one place on one dashboard page that is centred around the individual. This idea is about combining postcode data with relevant FAQs. If the user could type in his or her post code and be provided with the 20 most frequently asked service questions about the neighbourhood. Importantly these questions should include time dependent element e.g. varying by season or updated to reflect a current local issue -- 'wasp nest removal in late summer. Some similar site exist, such as 'Upmystreet'. These provide some answers but these are scattered over the site and not specific to the location.
This information could be made increasingly relevant dependent upon the personal profile information that an individual feels comfortable to share. For example in the case of families with primary school children it would be very relevant to provide local school information; events or unexpected school closure etc.
