Holiday and Travel Complaints

If you need help with a complaint against a tour operator or a travel agent you should contact Consumer Direct. They can provide advice about your rights and also put you into contact with your local Trading Standards office and Small Claims procedures if further action is appropriate. Companies that are members of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) or the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) must adhere to a Code of Conduct. They also offer an arbitration service to resolve disputes.

Air Travel Complaints

The Air Transport Users Council (AUC) is the UK’s watchdog for air travellers. They provide advice on how to make a complaint to an airline or airport. If you have already written a complaint letter to an airline and you are not satisfied with the outcome, they may be able to help you.
