Civil Service Compensation Scheme

Today the High Court has given its judgement on the Judicial Review taken out by the Public and Commercial Service Union (PCS) in respect of the changes to the terms of the Civil Service Compensation Scheme. The High Court found in favour of the PCS. All Civil Service HR Directors have been told this decision means they cannot use the new compulsory redundancy terms.

A Cabinet Office spokesperson said:

"We are disappointed by the High Court's decision. We are considering the terms of the judgement."
