Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)

Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) is a structured yet flexible framework.  It allows you to manage and control all the activities involved in managing a programme through providing advice on organisation, processes, communication and ways of thinking. There is a close link between MSP and PRINCE2™.

A programme is made up of a number of  projects, which, if co-ordinated or integrated into the programme, are more likely to help your organisation achieve its strategic goals and deliver measurable benefits.

MSP and OGC's Programme and Project Management products

OGC"s Programme and Project Management products of PRINCE2™; Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and M_o_R® (Management of Risk) offer standard approaches to the "what and how" of good programme, project and risk management.  They underpin and enhance OGC"s workbooks for projects, programmes and risk, and complement OGC Gateway™, procurement and Achieving Excellence guidance.

They are designed for senior managers, business managers and practitioners at all levels from teams, through to board-level.

OGC own the products and manage their ongoing development through our partners.  Our Partners ensure that the products are supported internationally by quality assured services in accreditation and publishing.  There are a wide range of accredited providers including training and consultancy services.  There are also complementary publications which enhance the core set.  The associated qualifications offer individuals a route to enhance their professional development.

As exemplars of best practice, all content is periodically reviewed and refreshed to take account of relevant research and to benefit from practical experience in their application.
