Local Government
We work with local government through key partners such as the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the Audit Commission, the Chief Executives Taskforce, the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Performance Partnership.
NHS
Since gaining endorsement to support the National Health Service (NHS) at the end of 2004, we have been working to support a range of delivery programmes within the Department of Health (DH) and across the NHS.
Education
OGC works closely with teams in the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) that lead on three areas of work across the whole education sector - programme & project management; procurement and the efficiency programme.
Central Government
OGC works with central government on two levels: in collaboration with the largest 14 departments on an agreed set of priorities and for smaller departments we offer self-service guidance and products, which are available through this site.
Defence
OGC's remit was formally extended to include the Ministry of Defence (MOD) at the end of 2004. Since then we have been working with the MOD to support a range of delivery related activities within the MOD.
Suppliers to Government
OGC works on behalf of the public sector to forge productive relations with those major suppliers that provide services across government. We also provide advice in some case to public sector procurers on how to work in a productive way with suppliers.
Other Public Sector
OGC typically supports executive agencies and non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs) via their parent departments in Government. For smaller departments, other UK public bodies and voluntary organisations we offer self-service guidance and products, available from this website.
