For the 2007 - 2013 period the European Union supports EU regions under
three programme headings: Convergence, Territorial Co-operation and
Regional Competitiveness and Employment programmes:
Forward is managing the regional ERDF Competitiveness and Employment
Government Office is managing the regional element of the national ESF
Competitiveness and Employment programme.
The European Funding Team also has responsibility for the closure of a
number of European Structural Funds in Yorkshire and The Humber for the
2000 - 2006 programme period. These are the Objective 1 (South Yorkshire),
Objective 2 (ESF and ERDF), Objective 3 (ESF) programmes and the Urban ll
(Halifax) Community Initiative.
