This briefing note provides an up-to-date overview of the regions economic outlook within the context of the South East Plan and Regional Economic Strategy (RES) growth aspirations.
Migration and the Economy
A research study considering the economic impact of migration in the region has recently been completed. The work was led by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), with financial contributions from other regional partners, including the Assembly.
Innovation and Knowledge Exchange
This study examines the impact of the university and research establishments in the Greater South East region upon innovation and knowledge transfer across the UK as a whole.
The South East Regional Property Market Study will be used to assist in the development of future economic strategies and policies.
Employment Land Reviews
The Regional Assembly is exploring the best means to coordinate future Employment Land Reviews. Our work has been informed by an audit of Employment Land Reviews (ELRs) in the South East region.
In July 2008, an Interim Employment Land Review Note was produced, containing links to existing sources of regional evidence which can guide and inform employment land reviews and identifying examples of practice from around the region.
