Tour of Britain 2008

Tour of Britain 2008

SEEDA are once again a key partner in this event and are pleased to announce that this year the event will take place on Monday 8th September.

The Tour of Britain is a blue-riband cycling event that takes place on a World Stage, attracting regional, national and international interest. In Britain, cycling is massive as both participatory and a spectator sport. Thousands lined the route of the 2007 event, and over a million tuned into the BBC’s Grandstand television coverage. This 7 day sporting event is now part of the elite professional cycling calendar. It is endorsed by organisations that include the DCMS, Sport England, Visit Britain, British Cycling and the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale).
