BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY: WEST YORKSHIRE- BASED INTERNATIONAL TRADE RESEARCHER WINS UK TRADE & INVESTMENT BOARD AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT

UKTI's Ravinder Panesar, based at Business Link West Yorkshire last night won an individual award at the third annual UK Trade & Investment Board Awards for Outstanding Achievement. He was presented with the award by HRH The Duke of York in the presence of the Minister for Trade, Mr Ian Pearson MP and Chief Executive of UK Trade & Investment, Sir Stephen Brown, at St. James's Palace in London.

The awards, given for outstanding work by individuals, teams and managers, were set up to recognise the many and varied achievements of UKTI staff across the organisation's global network.

Presenting the awards, HRH The Duke of York said:

"People are the key to the success of any organisation. Thanks to the dedication and commitment of our staff, UKTI remain customer focused. These awards ensure that the contribution of our people to the success of the organisation is acknowledged and valued. I congratulate Ravinder on winning the award for individual achievement."
