Third Sector

Government Office for Yorkshire and The Humber supports active, strong and engaged communities in Yorkshire and The Humber: communities in which people of all races, faiths and backgrounds are valued and participate on equal terms.

We also value and recognise the independence of the third sector.

Active engagement in the Third Sector is an important building block in the creation of vibrant communities that are united by common visions as well as valuing diversity and equality of opportunity. More information on the national picture

The third sector includes voluntary and community organisations,charities, social enterprises, faith groups, cooperatives and mutuals.
