Local Transport Plans (LTPs) are the central building blocks of the Government’s integrated transport policy. Their introduction was announced in the Government’s Transport White Paper ‘A New Deal for Transport: Better for Everyone’ published in July 1998.

We are working with our colleagues in DCLG and other Departments to see how (or whether) the targets and indicators that local authorities set for LTP2 can be amalgamated into Local Area Agreements.
