Third Sector

Government Office for London is working with a wide range of partners to ensure that London's diverse and vibrant communities are supported by a third sector that is strong and sustainable.

Active engagement in the Third Sector is an important building block in the creation of vibrant communities that are united by common visions as well as valuing diversity and equality of opportunity. More information on the national picture

The Communities and Third Sector team manages an expanding agenda of policies and programmes aimed at developing the capacity and infrastructure of the third sector across London and promoting active communities and citizenship. Our particular areas of interest include community empowerment, social enterprise, the Compact and volunteering.
