Current Legislation - including progress

Current draft Legislation - including progress

Past Legislation: Acts

You can see details of the primary legislation enacted by the Department for Constitutional Affairs, and its predecessor the Lord Chancellor's Department, since 1997 and information on some of the secondary legislation enacted by the Department.

Regulatory impact assessments

When introducing or amending legislation, including new regulations, Government has to assess whether they pose risks for individuals and organisations, particularly in relation to their health and safety, their finances, and for the environment. A regulatory impact assessment (RIA) document outlines this assessment.

Statute law database

The statute law database of United Kingdom legislation contains the text of all Acts that were in force on 1 February 1991 and all Acts and printed Statutory Instruments passed since then. It also contains local legislation, both primary and printed secondary. More information...
