Visit by International Archivists
Archivists from around the world come to visit The National Archives
16 October 2006
Following on from Natalie Ceeney's successful meeting in Washington in June, The National Archives will be hosting a meeting on 16 and 17 October 2006 attended by a number of Senior Archivists from France, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, USA and Scotland.
One of the key outcomes from the meeting in Washington was that a formal mechanism for cross-organisational working be established so that senior executives and key players within the field of international archives could make contact and share ideas on a regular basis. The theme of the meeting in Kew will focus on the challenges we face in raising the profile of Information and Records management with the ultimate aim of information and records management being placed at the forefront of policy makers' agenda.
