Due to nationwide industrial action by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) on Wednesday 24 March, The National Archives will offer a reduced service to the public on this day.

Document delivery will take longer (up to two hours) and there will be delays to readers' ticket registration.  We will be offering a telephone switchboard service only .

Delays are inevitable, and we therefore strongly advise visitors not to visit on 24 March unless absolutely essential.
