The National Archives takes part in charity auction
The National Archives participated in the annual BBC Radio 2 'Money Can't Buy' auction, raising £11,000 for Children in Need.
The auction is an annual event where people get the chance to bid for unusual prizes, and the producers had the idea of auctioning off a 'Who Do You Think You Are?' package. Our contribution to the package was a behind-the-scenes tour of The National Archives in Kew, followed by a session with one of our records experts.
The rest of the package consists of a very special lunch with actor Barbara Windsor - who appeared in the third series of Who Do You Think You Are? - and one of the show's directors. Also included are tickets to Who Do You Think You Are? Live and a year's subscription to ancestry.co.uk.
Bidding took place on Thursday 19 November. Visit the auction's website to find out more.
