Yesterday's Board meeting is now available as a video-on-demand and as a podcast. The agenda included discussions on progress with our strategy to reduce foodborne disease in the UK, the development of the Agency's Board, and the final report on the Meat Hygiene Service.
ASDA withdraws Garlic and Herb Coleslaw

ASDA Prawn Coleslaw with a 'best before' date of 5 May 2010 has mistakenly been packed using a Garlic and Herb Coleslaw lid (300g). The presence of shellfish is not indicated on the Garlic and Herb Coleslaw lid, therefore the product is a potential health risk for people with an allergy to shellfish.
Tesco recalls some flaked pudding rice

Tesco has recalled some packs of its own-brand Flaked Pudding Rice because the product might contain wheat, which is not mentioned on the product label. This means this product is a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic to or intolerant of wheat or gluten. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
