Being a young carer

This area of the site is for young people who are caring for someone who is ill or disabled. You might have started caring without realising it. These pages will help you work out if you are a carer and how to get help for your family.

Your life

As a young carer, you have a right to be able to get out and socialise with friends and get help at school. You might also want some information on how you feel about caring, and this section might help.

Find out about the condition of the person you look after, plus tips on what to do if you're looking after a parent, or you're looking after a brother or sister.
