At least one person in three in England makes use of the services Ofsted inspects and regulates. Our teams think carefully about the likely equality impact of their work and will take action to improve strategies, policies and projects, where appropriate. The equality impact assessment (EIA) provides a tool to help them do this.
You can see the completed screening assessments, divided by Ofsted directorate, on the left-hand side menu. These are usually published within two weeks of completion. You can also read the information and guidance document on equality impact assessments.
A number of full assessments are timetabled from January 2008: the details of these are set out in our equality schemes.
EIA supports Ofsted's equality schemes: disability; gender; race.
