Zero Waste Scotland

Zero Waste Scotland is the new programme created by the Scottish Government to support delivery of its Zero Waste Plan.

147,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases saved to date. 33,000 tonnes of annual landfill diversion developed through the promotion of home composting. 47% of the Scottish population are now concerned about food waste. 320,000 tonnes less waste going to landfill each year.
