Property Coordination

Our professional advice teams help departments to achieve economies of scale. Savings accrue when OGC and departments work together to deliver cross-departmental workspace strategies based on the exploitation of government's collective bargaining strength.

By putting forward a comprehensive range of options and facilitating discussion, we can ensure that departments take strategic decisions in the full knowledge of the wider financial impact.

Collaborative Opportunities include:

  • identifying, promoting and brokering opportunities for interdepartmental estate rationalisation and co-location;
  • coordinating market opportunities through property events;
  • developing opportunities for and promoting strategic co-operation between central government organisations;
  • maintaining an up-to-date database of all central civil government property and future accommodation requirements (e-PIMS).

Collaborative Management of the Civil Estate
Revised the Civil Estate Coordination Protocol and the Civil Estate Occupancy Agreement (see below).

 

Civil Estate Co-ordination Protocol

The Civil Estate Co-ordination Protocol (CECP) (PDF) sets out how Government bodies will co-ordinate their activity in acquiring, managing, rationalising and disposing of workspace on the Civil Estate.

 

Civil Estate Occupancy Agreement (CEOA)

The CEOA sets out general arrangements for shared occupations by Crown bodies Its purpose is to act as framework agreement which Crown bodies sharing occupation should adopt to establish arrangements between Holders and Occupiers.

The new agreement is split into three tenure specific volumes, each with their own appendices.
