OGC is an independent Office of the Treasury with its own Chief Executive appointed at Permanent Secretary level, who is responsible for Government procurement, programmes and projects, and the Government Estate.
OGC is governed by the OGC Board which is made up of the Chief Executive, OGC executive directors, the Chief Executive of Buying Solutions (OGC's trading arm) and three non-executive directors. OGC Board minutes are published below.
Its top level programme board is the Commercial Delivery Board, chaired by the HM Treasury Permanent Secretary. Membership includes Permanent Secretaries from central government departments.
In addition, the Chief Executive has an advisory group, the Government Procurement Service (GPS) Council, the membership of which consists of procurement experts from across government.
In June 2009, the Cabinet Secretary announced that business expenses incurred by the most senior Civil Servants on official duty would be published for the first time. The move reflected the Civil Service's commitment to maximum transparency.
The details below are the business expenses for the Chief Executive and the Chief Sustainability and Operating Officer. OGC will continue to publish details of these officials" expenses on a quarterly basis.
