Brief Description
Purpose:
To support the management of research programmes and initiatives from set-up to delivery to provide actionable and informed insight to the organisation.
Core accountabilities:
To support the Insight Manager and other more senior researchers with the following responsibilities and accountabilities:
• To provide insight for the Pensions Regulator (TPR)
• To liaise with internal clients and other functions in the identification, set-up and delivery of research programmes
• To manage external research agencies, including developing briefs and reviewing agency outputs
• To liaise with external stakeholders
• To work with the Insight Advisor and Insight Manager to develop and deliver key strategic research programmes
• To conduct desk research exercises and respond to ad hoc requests
Vacancy description
Skills and knowledge:
• Awareness of the economic environment and its implications on the pensions landscape
• Understanding of how research agencies operate
• Understanding of and experience in brand and communications research and relevant techniques
• At least 3 year’s agency and/or clientside quantitative research experience
• Familiarity with a range of quantitative techniques and methodologies
• Good project management skills
• Good levels of skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Sound understanding of quantitative sampling and basic statistical techniques
• Experience of presenting and reporting research findings
• Understanding of Data Protection Act / Freedom of Information principles and how they relate to market research
• B2B research experience (desirable rather than essential)
• Public sector research experience (desirable rather than essential)
• Customer experience and tracking research experience (desirable rather than essential)
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills (desirable rather than essential)
• Understanding and appreciation of uses of information within regulatory bodies (desirable rather than essential)
