Travel

The Buying Solutions Travel Services framework agreements provide a comprehensive range of booking services, which have been established to accommodate the needs of the UK public sector business traveller.
The procurements were concluded under EU regulations, so customers can be completely confident that the offerings are compliant with the current European legislation and public procurement guidelines, thereby reducing the time and costs associated with the delivery of these services.
There are two Travel offerings available, which provide customer organisations with both choice and competition. These are:
1. Individual Travel Lots for:
- Rail
- Air and Ferry
- Hotel Accommodation
- Conference Facilities
- Vehicle Hire
These framework agreements became effective on 1 June 2006 and are open for use for four years.
2. Travel Management Services (One-Stop-Shop)
The Travel Management Services provide customers with the opportunity to source all their business travel requirements through a single supplier, and covers the following areas:
- Rail
- Air
- Ferry
- Hotel Accommodation
- Airport Parking
- VIP Services Desk
- Meeting & Conference Services
- Taxis
- Other Services (serviced apartments, coach/bus tickets, Oyster cards, coach hire)
This framework agreement became effective on 2 March 2009 and is open for use for four years.
The decision to use a framework agreement as the contracting vehicle in these instances has provided customers with the opportunity to personalise their call off contract in a way that best suits their organisation's operational needs on Business Travel.
