This page explains how the government and the UK Border Agency maintain regular dialogue with employers and education providers on issues relating to illegal working and sponsorship under the points-based system.

There are three 'taskforces' through which the Home Office works with employer and trade union representatives, education providers, other government departments and strategic bodies to consider the development and implementation of the points-based system:
Our sectors advisory panels, which involve representatives from a number of relevant industry bodies, aim to promote the sharing and exchange of information and intelligence about the labour market in different industrial sectors of the United Kingdom. This helps us to be flexible and responsive in developing and delivering policy on the employment of migrants.

The Illegal Working Group is a high-level stakeholder group, chaired by the Minister for Borders and Immigration. It enables the government to engage key stakeholders on illegal working and related issues, and to understand the impact of government policy on employers and employees.
