The Renewable Fuels Agency

We are the organisation charged by the UK government with running the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation. We allocate Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs) to suppliers of biofuels in the UK. We ensure obligated companies meet their annual obligation. We run the RTFO's world leading carbon and sutainability reporting system. We promote the supply of sustainable biofuels.

First Annual Report on the wider impacts of the RTFO published

Year One of the RTFO, our first Annual Report to Parliament on the impacts of the RTFO, is now available for download. The report includes verified data comparing the carbon and sustainability performance of individual fuel suppliers. This is the first time that data of this sort has been published anywhere in the world.
