The following statutory instruments for the Electoral Administration Act 2006 have been laid in Parliament and implemented.
May 2007 electoral modernisation pilots and statutory orders
On 29 January 2007, 13 local authorities were approved to take part in 12 electoral pilot schemes for the May 2007 local elections.
May 2006 election pilots
Along with the Electoral Commission, the Association of Electoral Administrators and local authorities, we facilitated electoral modernisation pilot schemes in the May 2006 local elections.
Acting returning officers' guidance
The Electoral Commission website has guidance notes for acting returning officers in England and Wales on their duties and responsibilities from the issue of the election writ, to after the declaration of the result.
