List of additional inspectors completing inspections on behalf of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills
The list was updated in April 2010.
This is a list of the additional inspectors of schools, further education colleges and independent schools from April 2009.
Under Schedule 1, paragraph 2 (6) of the Education Act 2005, HMCI is required to publish the names of those persons who are notified to him by an inspection service provider as persons with whom the inspection service provider proposes to make arrangements for carrying out of inspections on behalf of HMCI.

Letter to parents for maintained school inspections from September 2009 (includes the parents' questionnaire)
The letter:
- informs parents the school is due to be inspected
- provides some basic information about the inspection
- provides contact details for the inspector
- has the parents' questionnaire.
Parents and carers of children whose school is due for inspection should read our leaflet explaining why and when we inspect, and how to share their views: School inspections: a guide for parents and carers.
The letter is available in different languages.
