NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) is a unique joint venture between the Department of Health and Steria that provides finance and accounting, payroll and e-procurement solutions, and support for family health services to all types of NHS organisations. These enable NHS trusts to focus on business improvement activities and strategic decision-making.

David Nicholson CBE, NHS Chief Executive:
“In the current economic climate, the NHS, in common with all other public services, needs to plan in recognition of the funding levels it is likely to receive in the coming years.
