Brief Description
To support the Communication and Engagement Manager across a range of areas including, administration, engagement and capacity building, and support for SDC’s wider research and policy needs. The postholder will lead the Commission’s work in providing secretariat function to the Scottish Sustainable Development Forum (SSDF).

Skills
Essential
1. Experience of organising conferences, events and workshops
2. Good written and verbal communication skills
3. Experience of using the web to inform and involve with a wider audience
4. Confident using MS Office IT applications, specifically producing draft reports in Word, Powerpoint presentations and excel spreadsheets for data monitoring.
5. Good administrative and organisational skills, including experience in organising and providing administrative support to meetings, including preparing minutes of meetings
6. Understanding of sustainable development.
Desirable
1. A high level of intellectual and analytical ability, which may be demonstrated by a degree or higher level qualification
2. Understanding of government processes
3. Understanding of the application and delivery of sustainable development in Scotland.
