Brief Description

Key Responsibilities:Supplier Financial Risk Assessment · To manage identified risks and conduct further investigations with internal and external stakeholders to reduce/mitigate the risk. To disseminate the identified risks and findings to reduce further/ future exposure. · To lead in the provision of in-depth supplier financial risk advice and guidance (and additional hands-on training where necessary) to a small team of analysts (who have financial report writing experience) and contributing to their report writing schedule.· To review the analyses and conclusions in the financial reports that are produced, and advise on issues arising.· To liaise with the Head of Supplier Risk Management in (i) the provision of oral and written briefing to senior officials in OGC and other departments and (ii) taking forward risk mitigation actions with departments and corporations.· To recommend and implement appropriate financial assessment actions where required.

General· To provide oversight and guidance to the team in their analysis of companies and markets. · To provide quality assurance to the team outputs ensuring successful delivery of all of its work· To engage with numerous financial services companies at all levels of seniority, including internal stakeholders to ensure the team is successfully represented.

· ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent.


· Outstanding analytical skills – proven experience in the financial and commercial analysis of suppliers and markets.· Excellent communication and presentation skills, including first class written skills.· Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to deal credibly and persuasively with colleagues and senior management in both public and private sector organisations.
