Brief Description

The External Resources team in OGC is responsible for the engagement, management and effective deployment of senior professionals drawn from other government departments and the private sector. These external resources are key in the delivery of aspects of Transforming Government Procurement, e.g Gateway Reviews, Major Projects Reviews, Procurement Capability Reviews etc.In the Resource Leader role you will be responsible for identifying the optimum combination of resources to deliver a range of reviews to a portfolio of government departments. You will work closely with colleagues in other OGC workstreams and directly with departmental representatives to develop an understanding of the particular review in question and the skills/experience required to deliver a top quality outcome.


Vacancy description

This role will require you to:· Work closely with colleagues in other OGC workstreams to understand their delivery programmes and the part played by the external resource pool in achieving their targets· Establish and maintain relationships with highly experienced, senior level associate resources, developing an in-depth knowledge of their particular skills and experiences and deploying them to optimum effect on departmental reviews and follow-on activities· Work alongside colleagues in OGC to develop systems and processes to support new products which will be resourced by the External Resources teamKey Responsibilities:· Identify and propose appropriate teams to deliver a variety of OGC reviews and follow-on activities· Liaise with OGC colleagues and government departments to gain an understanding of the skills and experience required for a particular review· Maintain relationships with a portfolio of departments, and ensure Civil Servant Reviewer data for your departments is updated regularly· Assist the Operations Manager in change to operational processes for new and existing products· Work alongside the Process and Systems Manager to develop database workflow process and increase utilisation of the application in support of External Resources’ operational activity


· Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to represent OGC internally and externally· The ability to promote the benefits of working in new ways and help others to adapt· Advanced Microsoft Office and database skills
