HLF is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience regardless of ability or browsing technology. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is the main international standards organization for the web sites that make up the World Wide Web (WWW).
The W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) sets out to improve accessibility so that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate and interact with web sites on the WWW.
As part of this work the WAI set out international guidelines to be used for building accessible websites. Their latest guideline on Web Content Accessibility was published in Dec 2008 (WCAG 2.0). WCAG 2.0 relates to all content that is presented to users via an HTTP address.
HLF is working towards compliance with WCAG 2.0 to the level of priority 2 (AA – double A). There are some pages that do not yet fully conform with all WCAG 2.0 guidelines. If you are unable to access particular information or services on this website, please email us; it may be possible to provide this information or services in an alternative format.
We would be pleased to receive your feedback and if you have any questions or feedback regarding accessibility of the site then please contact us at webmaster@hlf.org.uk
