A specialised team of lawyers dealing in drafting Government Bills for introduction into Parliament and related Parliamentary business.
Devolution in the United Kingdom
- The Devolution pages set out the system of devolution in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. They also describe the arrangements for relations between the UK Government and the devolved administrations, in particular the Joint Ministerial Committee, which brings together Ministers of the four administrations, at the top level and below.

Communication is an integral part of government. Government Communication helps provide strategic advice on cross government issues. It also supports the Government Communication Network (GCN) helping share best practice and raise professional standards of communicators across government. The group also advises on propriety relating to communciation issues.

Appointments and Oversight

Information on appointments to the boards of public bodies. This includes information on the public appointments process and on the standards expected from those appointed to a public office.
- House of Lords Appointments Commission (HOLAC) [External website]
HoLAC is responsible for recommending non–party–political nominees to become life peers in the House of Lords and for vetting party–political nominations.

OCPA regulates, monitors, reports and advises on ministerial appointments to public bodies in the UK.
