Salaries

It is difficult to give exact salaries for careers in financial services, accounting and finance, as the amount that can be earned differs on where the job is in the UK and the size of the organisation. It is not uncommon to be offered a ‘benefits' package too. Often, people see this as part of their salary - for example this may include a company pension, private health care, or gym membership. Employers in the sector also are known to operate a bonus system, where an annual bonus is offered on top of a basic salary. This is often performance related (how well you do in your job!) and it also depends on how financially successful the company was during the year (how much profit the company made!). For this reason, we have given you an indication of salary brackets that you could earn in each job role on the individual job profiles.

You may also find it useful to review the salary surveys sections of specialist recruitment agencies in financial services and accountancy.  You can link to the relevant websites below.
