Consultation Questions

The draft Strategy is divided into the following sections, which are referenced in the consultation questions.

Priorities:
Delivering world-class science (3.1);
Responding to national challenges (3.2);
Leading UK measurement (3.3).

Delivery:
Investing in our measurement assets (4.1);
Working with the measurement community (4.2);
Achieving impact through sharing knowledge (4.3);
Measuring impact (4.4);
Operating efficiently (4.5)

The document follows the format that the final published Strategy is expected to take. There is a combination of analysis and proposals for priorities and projects, which themselves are dependent on the availability of resources over the period covered by the Strategy. NMO welcomes views on any aspect of the proposed Strategy and invites both general comments on the analysis and presentation and specific suggestions on the future direction of efforts, including the priorities to be adopted and specific projects which might be included.

NMO’s initial thoughts on future direction, priorities and projects are highlighted in the passages in italics, but they should be seen as proposals for comment at this stage, not commitments.
