Guidance for coroners on reports to prevent future deaths and on the supply of information concerning the death of children.


The Coroners Rules 1984 have been amended to strengthen coroners' powers to make reports to prevent future deaths and to introduce a new rule concerning the supply of information to Local Safeguarding Children Boards.

The changes came into effect on 17 July 2008.
