Company car and car fuel benefit calculator
When a company car is made available for the private use of an employee a 'benefit in kind' value is calculated in relation to the car, and the fuel if that is also provided for private use.
This calculator:
- allows you to calculate the 'benefit in kind' value of a company car and, if appropriate the car fuel benefit
- provides an indication of the Income Tax you would be liable to pay for the provision of company car and car fuel benefit
The calculator was updated in January 2010 to allow calculations for the years 2004-05 to 2010-11 inclusive. 2010-11 results include measures announced at Pre-Budget Report 2009 but are provisional until they become law and until it is clear that there will be no further changes affecting 2010-11 in a 2010 Budget.
Any changes to the car benefit rules tend to be announced at either Pre-Budget Report or at Budget. Information about forthcoming changes is available at Forthcoming changes to car benefit.
