Terms of Reference

  • Oversee and co-ordinate JISC’s initial programme of BCE activities, and ensure these are responsive to need
  • Ensure the effective delivery of the agreed outcomes according to the identified strategic priorities
  • Comment on calls and/or ITTs, evaluate proposals and make funding recommendations regarding BCE activities
  • Steer the resulting funded activity to ensure a consistent and coherent approach and target benefit delivery
  • Approve, take ownership of and oversee the measures of success for the BCE Programme of activities 
  • View and comment on draft and final reports from commissioned work
  • Recommend additional work that could enhance JISC’s programme of BCE activities
  • Identify synergies and promote strategic alignments with developments and organisations both within JISC and the BCE community
  • Consider, through the implementation of the BCE Programme, how to promote the integration of BCE across JISC activities
  • Offer advice to the programme of activities on issues of relevance from the BCE community
  • Manage the evaluation process for any BCE bidding activities
  • Oversee the formative evaluation and any progress reviews of JISC’s BCE activities
  • Report to JOS on the progress, amendments and outcomes of the BCE Programme
  • Report to the other sub-committee/s as appropriate and make recommendations as appropriate
