Positioning The Open University as partner of choice in workforce development
This project aims to put in place the means by which the Open University can increase significantly the number of students sponsored by employers.
The university will do this by working closely with employers to develop and deliver courses tailored to their performance needs, and targeting four strands of activity. The activities are:
- marketing to employers
- curriculum and services development
- infrastructure and capability building
- cultural change.
The programme will initially focus on two priority sectors: health and social care, and information technology and telecoms.
