Results of the Swedish Presidency
Many major and minor decisions were taken during the Swedish presidency. The focus was on the Presidency priorities, but results were also achieved in a number of other areas.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anna Lindh is once again to become an "ordinary" Swedish foreign minister after six months in the international spotlight. Read the interview

You can now go back and look in the headline archive to see what really happened – day by day – during Sweden's Presidency. 




Active Young Reporters 
During Sweden's Presidency, some 400 students were active as Young Reporters, posting their reports directly on the eu2001.se website. Prime Minister Göran Persson and the President of the EU Commission, Romano Prodi, were among those subject to questioning by the Young Reporters. Read more 


Passed with distinction 
Approximately 70 per cent of visitors to eu2001.se gave the Swedish Presidency the grade "passed with honours" or "passed with distinction". This was the result of the final poll on eu2001.se. Earlier polls covered everything from Europe Day to TV advertising directed at children. See the results
