How to complain

If you have a complaint about your exam results, you should contact your centre who may take this up with the awarding body.
If you have a complaint about an awarding body or Ofqual and its operations you can contact our Customer Relations team at info@ofqual.gov.uk.
Alternatively, you can telephone our Customer Relations team on 0300 303 3346.
If you wish to write to us our address is: Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator, Spring Place, Coventry Business Park, Herald Avenue, Coventry CV5 6UB.
We will ensure that your complaint is acknowledged within five working days and that a considered response is issued within ten working days of that acknowledgement.
You should include:
- a clear explanation of the nature of your query or complaint
- your full name and candidate number
- your centre name and number
- the name of the awarding body
- the qualification or unit title and code number
- copies of any relevant supporting documents.
Please note that in order to properly investigate your complaint it is likely that we will need to disclose limited, relevant information, such as your name and candidate number, to third parties in the form of personal data ie information from which you can be identified. We may also need to forward to third parties copies of any correspondence you have sent to us.
If you have a complaint about your school, college or training provider you should normally contact the awarding body in the first instance.
