BERR invites views on the Proposal for a European Council Regulation on the Statute for a European private company. The Proposal creates a new European legal form intended to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs by facilitating their establishment and operation in the Single Market. The aim of this consultation is to seek views on the detail of the Proposal to ensure that any new legal form will offer benefits to UK businesses without adding additional burdens or uncertainties.
