 Programme launch on Monday 21 September 2009

The Productive Operating Theatre programme will be launched on Monday 21 September 2009, at the Conference Centre at Church House, Dean’s Yard, Westminster, London, SW1P 8NZ. 

The programme is the latest from the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement’s Productive Series and will focus on helping to create more efficiently run and effectively performing theatres.  It has been designed to deliver significant improvements in:  

  • Patient’s experience and outcomes
  • Safety and reliability of care
  • Effective team-working and staff wellbeing
  • Efficiency and value

This event is aimed at:

  • staff who work in theatres - including consultant surgeons
  • anaesthetists
  • theatre matrons
  • perioperative practitioners
  • managers and operating department practitioners
  • members of the Trust Board are also encouraged to attend, as their role in supporting this programme as an executive sponsor will be crucial
